早在1864年（清同治三年），英商乔治·史密斯在福州路上创立了“广和洋行”，主营贩售洋酒、啤酒和汽水等业务。由于经营有道，销量迅速崛起。到了1882年，随着英商麦克利格与考尔伯克的加盟，便把原来的“广和”改名为“正广和”。

这便是有将近160年历史，横跨三个世纪的上海正广和公司，承载了人们对于国产饮料的回忆。
